When Should You Replace Your Alternator?

Charging warning lights, repeated loss of battery charge, dim or fluctuating lights and inconsistent electrical operation can indicate a charging-system problem. Battery condition, wiring and the drive belt can produce similar symptoms; arrange a diagnostic check before replacing the alternator.
